I'm agnostic myself. But this makes me truly sad.

Yeah, it is rather depressing.

She was a fraud and a charleton. All she ever did was hoard all the money donated to her clinic and hobnob with world leaders and travelling extensively. Her charity made millions yet very little saw its way to the people who needed it.

Wow, what a terrible thing to say. If you really think that "god" would prefer the lunatic evangelicals over a wonderful human being like Mother Teresa... well... you can just sit on it!

Yeah look, I'm not in a position to tell if she was really all she was cracked up to be, but some would say she was... less than fabulous.

As a christian even i find myself wondering about God.
If we are created in Gods image then why do we have the ability to forgive without the need of bloodshed, but God doesnt?

Why does our love and devotion need to be tested and tried? We dont even do that to our own children.

Guess it all depends on interpretation, but I think that's somewhat accurate.

I recall when Mother Teresa died, the week after Princess Diana (Queen of Hearts ™) and no one really cared.

So, the rich woman who truly did hob nob, nob, and hob, with the rich and powerful, who was described in a 2007 biography by Tina Brown as "restless and demanding ... obsessed with her public image" as well "spiteful, manipulative, media-savvy neurotic."...

...she was portrayed as a saint.

And yet the woman who gave up her life, and tried, probably not perfectly (apparently there are few perfect people in the world) to help the poor, and live amongst them, she was largely ignored and then even criticized.

I'm no Catholic, and I don't think she's a saint, but at least she was doing something productive, no matter how imperfect.

Is it not better to try and have that caring attitude and f**k it up a wee bit rather than use charity as a way to get your face in the press and garner sympathy?

No matter what we believe in...God, man, politicians, your friends....we all lose faith in the sometimes. I'm sure in the end she took her whole life and deeds into account and left this world knowing her conscience was clear.

You are on the right path. Keep questioning and keep searching for the truth. It's much harder to come by than simple words in an old book. Think of the the vastness of the universe compared to the smallness of you. If something did create the universe and everything in it, don't you think it could at least show itself??????

It's because that's simply someones/a certain groups perception of God, not God per se.

Mother Teresa was human, it is to be expected that she would have human flaws, but hey she did try to make a difference.

Her name was Teresa and she was a Nun that never had children! Nun Teresa.

She left God when she decided herself to follow a man on earth -- the Pope/Caesar.
