cereal recalled for no valid reasom
I live in Canada where certain natural, nutritious and healthy foods are been recalled because of possible "life threatening reactions" to its "all natural" ingredients.

I went to my local supermarket today and a very healthy, all natural and generations old cereal that I used has been unceremoniously taken off the shelves.

This cereal helped to heal me of chronic illness years ago.

Meanwhile processed foods and fast food restaurants continue to thrive unregulated.

This has bothered me terribly because now there are fewer and fewer avenues of natural healing for anyone trying to get away from genetically modified foods.

Folks these three or four letter agencies are killing us. They are taking away our right to eat what we want and destroying us with modified processed foods.

What can we do? The politicians just smile at us and say something stupid like "I can see where you might have a concern!".

Get a load of the agencies name:

Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)

Notice where it says that the recall does not affect products in the US.

I guess "life threatening reactions" to natural ingredients
do not affect American citizens.

I am angry.

It's being recalled because they didn't list soy as an ingredient. So anyone who has an allergy to soy, who bought it thinking it was soy free, could have a reaction.

Makes sense to me.

Good point and obvious too but there is natural soy and processed soy.

If I recall, processed soy is treated using petroleum products and it is these petroleum products that cause the allergic reactions.

I am not aware if the cereal contains processed soy but since every other ingredient it uses is natural, it is difficult to see why they would risk it all for the sake of a tiny amount of processed (as opposed to natural) soy.

Can you order it on-line from the US and have it shipped across the border?
