A NEW TAKE ON THE "LORDS PRAYER" FROM A METAPHYSICAL PERSPECTIVE
The mass of our Judeo Christian society can recite the Lords prayer upon request, yet doesn’t seem to resonate with much meaning these days.

Having contemplated the words and meaning for years and also having studied new thought authors i.e. Thomas toward.

propose the following:

It starts with “our father WHICH art in heaven”. Notice it doesn’t say “WHOM art in Heaven. To do so would imply a singular entity. Instead it says “which art in heaven” giving the meaning of a plurality.
Our father is the human consciousness/subconscious i.e. the human mind/thoughts etc.

“Hallowed be thy name” - consciousness is to be revered, hallowed: adjective, sacred, revered, protected, and guarded. Our own consciousness is the progenitor of everything in our physical lives given our freewill. It is First cause for us all.

“Thy kingdom come” – Our thoughts create and effect our physical world, environment and relationships.
“Thy will be done” – Thoughts manifest as things.

“On Earth as it is in Heaven” – The Earth is our physical, material world. Heaven is our state of consciousness. Christ said, “The kingdom of heaven is within you”. Heaven and therefore Hell are subjective states.

“Give us this day our daily bread”- Our minds (consciousness) not only provide our daily bread, but also the bread of joy, happiness, fulfillment etc.

“And forgive us our trespasses” – We can only forgive ourselves with our own thinking (thoughts) relevant to “Hallowed be thy name”. And our instructed to do so, reciprocal to us forgiving others.

“As we forgive those who trespass against us” – Our own mind is the ONLY thing that is capable of forgiving others.
“Lead us not into temptation” – Don’t allow ourselves to mentally succumb to temptation.

“And deliver us from evil” - Evil from other minds (behavior/actions) and our own. Again something only accomplished in the mental realm or our conscious/subconscious feeling of something potentially evil…i.e. wolves in sheep’s clothing.

“For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever” – The mind is eternal…no beginning no end.
Food for thought.

Lol...ok...my kingdom of God (consciousness) chooses NOT to refute yours...and please forgive my Trespass, as I will forgive yours...even though your Kingdom of god (consciousness) may not see your saying the words Gods Kingdom and heaven our synonomous.

All the best! and fyi, my Subconscious tipped me off (delivered me from evil) when you asked your initial question as I realized I was being potentially baited into semantics and now my consciousness is going to not lead me into the temptation to waste its time in arguing the unarguable...

Have a nice day..

Words are important...

But you will most likely be forgiven.

“Thy kingdom come” – Our thoughts create and effect our physical world, environment and relationships.

“For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever” – The mind is eternal…no beginning no end.

You say that the word, "whom" indicates a a non singular entity. Of course, you are twisting this to fit your understanding, and you are not taking into consideration many verses that say differently.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

If your father is your consciousness then, you worship yourself.

Revering your own consciousness...again..self worship.

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Our thoughts do not manifest as anything. Our desires do, however, if our desires are not right before God...those things serve only to fill up the cup of iniquity.

Psalms 78:29 So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire;
Psalms 78:30 They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths,
Psalms 78:31 The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.

Psalms 10:3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.

If a person isn't walking rightly before God, even their words fall to the ground.

An Example of one walking rightly before God would be Samuel.

1 Samuel 3:19 And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.

Jesus is the bread of life and the word.

Psalms 94:11 The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

It's interesting that you used and example of "wolves in sheep's clothing. It's actually very fitting in regards to your message.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Our thoughts do not manifest as anything. Our desires do,

And What praytell is a desire if not a thought? I think I desire a new smart car to save on the high price of gas?

which came first the desire or the thought?..

THOUGHT = DESIRE

All religion was a desire first...

and that includes all the many variances of christianity

Baptist, Lutheran, Episcopal, ad naseum

including ...other religions...Mans thought...desiring..to explain and spread a spiritual (invisible, metaphysical understanding)

Man is belief expressed-

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2699654

Lets look at this more closely.

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
John 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

First of all, you are not Jesus and you never will be. He is the way the truth and the life. The branch cannot bear fruit unless it abides in the vine. Jesus is the true vine.

Exodus 7:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

“Unto whom the word of God came.” God spoke to Moses and Moses became a representative. He never once said, “I am god.” Not once.

In fact, Number 12:3 says this: Now Moses was very humble, more humble than all the men on the face of the earth.

There were those who claimed to be as God.

One was King Harod.

Acts 12:22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.
Acts 12:23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Another example comes from Ezekiel:

Ezekiel 28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
Ezekiel 28:3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:
Ezekiel 28:4 With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:
Ezekiel 28:5 By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:

Ezekiel 28:9 Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.

John 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
John 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Jesus could say that HE is the Son of God! Because HE IS THE SON OF GOD!

Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Re: A NEW TAKE ON THE "LORDS PRAYER" FROM A METAPHYSICAL PERSPECTIVE

You say that the word, "whom" indicates a a non singular entity. Of course, you are twisting this to fit your understanding, and you are not taking into consideration many verses that say differently.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Psalms 78:29 So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire;

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1553081

I revere God as my consciousness as in equal to a wave of the expanse of the ocean. as in ONE WITH GOD...

The only way I can KNOW GOD is via my consciousness...I think therefore I AM...

"Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, Ye are gods’ ? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken), say ye of him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘Thou blasphemest’; because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?" (John 10:34-36).
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2699654

Lets look at this more closely.

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
John 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1553081

A man convinced against his WILL (consciousness) is of the same opinion (consciousness) still-

"I AM the way the truth the life" The I AM is all our our consciousness. We are ALL GODS SON...we ALL are the vine..

IS IT NOT SAID>>YE ARE GODS?

You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy."
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
