Message Subject A NEW TAKE ON THE "LORDS PRAYER" FROM A METAPHYSICAL PERSPECTIVE

The mass of our Judeo Christian society can recite the Lords prayer upon request, yet doesn’t seem to resonate with much meaning these days.

Having contemplated the words and meaning for years and also having studied new thought authors i.e. Thomas toward.

propose the following:

It starts with “our father WHICH art in heaven”. Notice it doesn’t say “WHOM art in Heaven. To do so would imply a singular entity. Instead it says “which art in heaven” giving the meaning of a plurality.
Our father is the human consciousness/subconscious i.e. the human mind/thoughts etc.

“Hallowed be thy name” - consciousness is to be revered, hallowed: adjective, sacred, revered, protected, and guarded. Our own consciousness is the progenitor of everything in our physical lives given our freewill. It is First cause for us all.

“Thy kingdom come” – Our thoughts create and effect our physical world, environment and relationships.
“Thy will be done” – Thoughts manifest as things.

“On Earth as it is in Heaven” – The Earth is our physical, material world. Heaven is our state of consciousness. Christ said, “The kingdom of heaven is within you”. Heaven and therefore Hell are subjective states.

“Give us this day our daily bread”- Our minds (consciousness) not only provide our daily bread, but also the bread of joy, happiness, fulfillment etc.

“And forgive us our trespasses” – We can only forgive ourselves with our own thinking (thoughts) relevant to “Hallowed be thy name”. And our instructed to do so, reciprocal to us forgiving others.

“As we forgive those who trespass against us” – Our own mind is the ONLY thing that is capable of forgiving others.
“Lead us not into temptation” – Don’t allow ourselves to mentally succumb to temptation.

“And deliver us from evil” - Evil from other minds (behavior/actions) and our own. Again something only accomplished in the mental realm or our conscious/subconscious feeling of something potentially evil…i.e. wolves in sheep’s clothing.

“For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever” – The mind is eternal…no beginning no end.
Food for thought.
