Our Spiral System
Although I think the title of the video is a little misleading (as we do orbit around our sun), I find this video absolutely fascinating. IMO, this is a much better representation of the movement of our solar system in comparison to the standard 2D models.

I've seen this vid floating around in some other very interesting threads, and thought it deserved its own.

Now take into account what you know about barycenters...the sun is not moving in a straight line....

It's warping, wefting and braiding it's way through space based on the pull of the other planets...

Re: Our Spiral System
Thread: Guess what else happens Oct 28th....do you know where your barycenter is?
Understanding barycenter sheaths and where/how they intersect...significance in 2012.

[link to www.bibliotecapleyades.net]

The barycenter is not a single point in the Sun. Because the Sun is a rotating gaseous sphere, the barycenter forms a vertical, cylindrical "sleeve" that is partially inside and outside the main solar body. All of the planets have such a "sleeve," one inside the other, depending on their relative mass and the location of their barycenters. The particular sleeve representing the mass of Jupiter intersects the solar surface at 35.9 degrees North and South. This is precisely where sunspot and flare activity begin and end during each 11 year cycle.

Scientists have noted that when Jupiter and Saturn are aligned, on the same side of the Sun, the solar activity is at its maximum; when they are on opposite sides of the Sun the solar activity is at its minimum.

These cylinders are usually quite orderly because the planets adhere to a narrow plane, called the ecliptic which resembles a thin plate extending from the equator of the Sun. The planets hang out here because (in simple terms) this is the zone where the gravitation of the system is the strongest. (see below)

The planets orbit the Sun in a narrow plane called the ecliptic

But nature is never perfect. The Sun rotates at a slight angle (7.25 degrees), much as our Earth does. As it wobbles, it tilts the sleeves, causing them to clash with each other and eventually disrupt the surface. This disturbance, to put it simply, works its way to the surface and erupts in sun spots and solar flares.

I have come to a firm conclusion, that the universe is spiral in form. From vibration in 4 dimensions, to Birkeland currents, Fibonacci, torus in motion, on and on...everything is spiral in form.

I'm wondering what effect 0 g's has at the bottom of sun spot columns....given where the barycenter is located as of now...

[link to www.umt.edu]

1) Rotation of sun about barycenter is related to formation of sunspots and solar flare activity.

· Sun at Max and Min distance from barycenter (Saturn and Jupiter aligned), solar flare and sunspot activity

very high (about once per 11 years).

· Sun between max and min distance to barycenter (Saturn and Jupiter not aligned), solar flare and sunspot activity low.

2) Sunspot and solar flare activity influences strength of solar wind (which bombards Earth)

3) Fluctuations in strength of solar wind affect Earth climate (e.g. length of growing season).

Currently they are on opposite sides of the sun with the earth in the middle....

we are orbiting the sun but since the sun is moving if we had a "tail" it would spiral.

Re: Our Spiral System
I truly believe this is the next step in viewing how reality works. It is as if the way we study things is 2 dimensional. It has been too difficult to envision the complex motions that would entail the movement of universal celestial systems. This is going into a 4-5 dimensional framework of understanding.

It is the motion of movement that the tail is representing. So, we ARE moving spiral in form, we just don't 'see' that we do because there are no 'trails' visible.

Ive tried to explain this concept to my friends multiple times. I said we are never in the same piece of space EVER. Question is, do the planets rotate perpendicular to the way the sun is traveling like your pic above or some other configuration that is much more complicated to visualize?

HA! That was EXACTLY my question! BUT, even if we moved parallel, we still have a waveform movement along the ecliptic of the galaxy. So the spiral would be skewed. OH! I wonder if we are angled perpendicular on the way 'down' and through the ecliptic, and transition perpendicular towards the apex of curve to perpendicular on the upswing. THAT is an interesting concept...whichever it is.

question though, dont spirals come to an end in the center? or is it just one of those infinity things?

i cant believe that i never thought about our system being a spiral before. its seems so clear now but never crossed my mind before today
