Quoting: Classiccom [link to www.hydromissions.com] (These people make life saving water available to the third world) Philosophy: We are missionaries. Most of our customers are missionaries. We understand how hard it is to get things done in the third world. We also understand what it means to work with limited resources. That is why we have adopted a philosophy of "de-engineering" and sharing of information here at Hydromissions. We do not patent or copyright any of our products - that would defeat our purpose. You should be able to look at any of our products and say, "I could make that." Go for it. However, we believe that you will find that we make the products better and less expensive than most people could at home. Our products are unique because they are designed to be reproduced or repaired in whatever country you serve. There are no complicated engines or costly parts to break down, and the local people can easily learn to use and maintain the equipment themselves. In addition, our products are designed to be extremely portable, allowing you to expand your water ministry into new areas that would be difficult to reach by other methods. ============================================= Next time you hear of some frivolous proprietary Ipad feature on TV, think about the real needs of our world. Jobs was a bad job. He conned Wozniak and everybody else for the almighty buck. Oh dear, no wonder the US economy is fucked.......... |

In this day and age shouldn't we be grateful that such a person is mourned and missed by the masses instead of looking up to the Bryants, the Vicks, the Rooneys, the Palins, the Trumps and the Sookies? In a time when the economy is fucked, riots are common place, we could do worse than encourage kids and the youth to mourn and look up to Jobs and Apple. He made a difference not through bribery, good looks and bullying, but by being a geek, an engineer and a business man. In short he cared and wanted to do his best, not the average. Geeks rule.......... |

Compared to the pavement of today? Children playing with each other and not texting and watching tv until blue in the face. |

What has Citibank done for you, an what has it innovated or brought to the market? I'll repeat myself just this once. Apple didn't contribute as much to our economy as it took away. They manufactured their products in China among others, they marketed products which became outdated almost immediately with endless problems plaqueing the system. Nothing is worth more than a person's life, not even your app developers job. [link to www.nytimes.com] Web search results: 114,000,000 for problems with apple |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1534158 United States 10/06/2011 12:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Apple Corps versus Apple Computer Main article: Apple Corps v. Apple Computer In 1978, Apple Records filed suit against Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.) for trademark infringement. The suit was settled in 1981 with the payment of $80,000 to Apple Corps. As a condition of the settlement, Apple Computer agreed to stay out of the music business. A dispute subsequently arose in 1989 when Apple Corps sued, alleging that Apple Computer's machines' ability to play back MIDI music was a violation of the 1981 settlement agreement. In 1991 another settlement, of around $26.5 million, was reached.[47][48] In September 2003, Apple Computer was again sued by Apple Corps, this time for introducing the iTunes Music Store and the iPod, which Apple Corps asserted was a violation of Apple's agreement not to distribute music. The trial opened on 29 March 2006 in the UK,[49] and in a judgment issued on 8 May 2006, Apple Corps lost the case.[48][50] [link to en.wikipedia.org] |
