Population growth is not linear. You cannot reverse extrapolate a handful of data points and use your crayon to connect a line to Year 0 some 6000 years ago.

The math, Creatard, agrees with the science. Geology, genetics, linguistics, anthropology, archeology, mass spectrometry, and yes, math all agree that the earth is billions of years old.

The planet is indeed millions of years old, but our family trees are only roughly as old as you said OP.

It's incredible that one can look around at everything in nature and the universe, then blasphemy God by stating that everything evolved from goo.
The odds of one single cell developing from goo is slim to none.
The odds of every plant, reptile, animal species evolving from goo is zero.

You are correct in that there are "holes" in our cumulative base knowledge, but this has nothing to do with the earth being "6,000 years old." yes it does. It has to do with the fact there is still so, so much we are yet to learn. yeah, about God and how He wants us to acknowledge Him and to not lean on our own understanding and that His ways are Higher than our ways, and we are nothing without Him and that He loves us deeply. We dont need head knlowledge of how we came into existence through nothing exploding into everything...We dont need to continually learn how to complicate matters we know nothing of...We just need to learn that we havent got a clue and just say, "Thank you God for this existence", and "I'm so privelledged to know this thing called life".
