My understanding is that it won't fall all in one day because of plunge protection but rather will do so over several days and beyond the control of any manipulators.

You could be right but my gut told me he was right and I sold all my stocks, taking a mild hit, and will not play the market again. It is too risky and I have learned it is all a big scam that will end badly for the little guys like me.
