Zoom out a little then click on tide stations..there are very few buoys between there and the E coast..some to the S and a few just off the coast [link to nhss.cr.usgs.gov] you can click on the station to get the current reading..what would the buoys to the south look like if they got smacked with a 300 ft. wave? Gives a whole new meaning to the transfer of certain government operations to Denver. People far enough from the coast think they wouldn't be in trouble? Think of the issues that arise from the people who do make it out of harms way. Lots of people with no where to go and a government that will not support or relocate them unless it is to some sort of Fema camp. Think Katrina on steroids and all the things you read on GLP about the preparing of Fema camps and body bags seems very real. Think of the civil unrest when U.S. citizens realize that a Fema camp is their only option. Think of the civil unrest that will occur when people realize they could have been warned and weren't. |
