Wow. Wonder what a bull statue represents in China? A gold one at that. Odd.

Of course, we have our own bronze bull in New York on Wall street. I don't support the OWS idiots at all. This has nothing to do with them anyway. It's just that the Wall Street bull is one of several eerie statues in New York city. You don't put up huge expensive civic symbols for no reason.

Calf, cow, bull, ox... it's a huge golden statue of a big four legged farm animal in a massive building taller than anything else around it. That qualifies as more than a little odd to me.

not necessarily - animals have specific symbolic meanings in china, and the ox is one of the zodiac animals there.

chinese skyscrapers often look pretty bizarre - take a look at shanghai's skyline.

That's kinda where I was going. It is paganism pure and simple. Here is just one little tid bit that just a few seconds keyword search came up with.

"The Chinese mythology of the Ox (or Buffalo) is a useful tool for finding some insights into this year ahead. Some stories about the Ox – the Ox was born from the very essence and heart of a very old pine tree, a sign of longevity. Lao-Tse, the great Chinese sage, rode astride an Ox during his travels in the mountains in search of immortality. The transcendent Ox is also able to live thousands of years. From one end of Asia to the other the Ox is considered a sacred animal, being an object of veneration everywhere." more here - [link to www.astrologycom.com]

Exactly! Just like it was in Egypt, and to the Israelites when they created theirs.

Just around and I'll be there, I'm moving into your atmosphere.

Romans 8:39 Any other living thing cannot keep us away from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:15
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, ""Abba," Father."

Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on his opinions. –Romans 14:1

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
