Resuming its upward trend after dropping in the Spring, Los Angeles air radiation has doubled in a recent 52-day period ending August 1, 2012. This reading was taken from the dust aggregate of three HEPA air filter machines that showed radiation emanation reading 205% of normal. The previous 96-day period registered 192% of normal. This equates in the present period, on a per day basis, to represent roughly a doubling of the last period's alpha and beta dust. Spot checks of the HEPA filters before vacuuming to create the aggregate dust pile showed a hot spot on one HEPA filter topping out at ~284% of normal eventually settling down to ~239% of normal.

Our full time airborne radiation monitor alarmed at 50 CPM during the 11:30pm Saint Louis storms. The unusually high airborne readings caused us to follow up with a surface swipe of a piece of sheet metal that had been left out in the rain. That swipe returned a reading of 91 TIMES greater than background radiation.

This is a ten minute count on my Inspector geiger counter which is calibrated for Cesium. The measurement is 126cpm which is 5 TIMES background level. The measurement was taken from a windshield swipe on my truck after 2 hours of pouring rainfall, so the windshield was quite clean of other older matter.

30,000 DPM of Cesium-137 were detected on a 100 square centimeter surface of a dry casket tractor trailer rig in Pennsylvania; NRC Event Number: 48178. This detection was of REMOVABLE Cs-137, meaning that weathering would have removed the contamination after some time period.

We suspect that the rig was contaminated by the Jet Stream borne rain storm which blew through the Pa area around approximately August 5th. Our own readings have detected significantly elevated levels of airborne and surface radioactive contamination in the past free weeks. See the video above for full details on the Cs-137 detection. Hi all, I live in London and saw that the reading went as high as 500 mr/hr. Is this something i should be worried about or will i still die of old age?

Cheers,

Here is a inspector measurement from the side window of my truck after a very heavy rain on 9-5-2012 in Milwaukee, Wi. measurement is 2393 on a 10 minute count on my inspector which is calibrated for Cesium. The fallout from Fukushima continues to come down at random on the northern hemisphere. This is way above background which is 20-30 cpm in Milwaukee.

Hot Rain again! 1:25 pm, Sept 4th 2012, eastern Ontario Canada. I wiped half my back windshield on my car with a paper towel and tested it with my geiger. More radioactive fallout in our jet stream from the blown reactors in Japan.

Sept 4th 1:25 pm, 2012 hot rain from fallout

Sept 8th 2012, Eastern Ontario 11:45 am 4.63 micro-sieverts divided by 0.14 micro-sieverts {My normal average background} = 33.7 X background. A new record in screaming high rads for me. It had been raining steady here from about 6 am so I really wasn't expecting to catch anything like this. Since I began our rain and snow here {November 2011} the number have shown a steady increase.

Gamma Ray Bursts & Fallout At 37 Times Background Radiation

[link to www.youtube.com]

The events were as follows:

1pm RAIN 10x over background
5pm STORM 20x over background
11pm STORM 37x background

The value recorded in the chart is a one minute average reading. Our radiation alarm triggers off of a 30 second moving average for anything over 50 CPM. We estimate that the instantaneous Gamma burst detection peaked at 600 counts.

Radiation Readings in my ditch hitting 82-84 CPMs

Published on Oct 19, 2012 by indegruv

Part 1 of 2 showing radiation readings in my ditch hitting in the 80s. South La. area. Ditch is at high flow area of drainage, so a lot of rain water passes through this area. Ditch is fairly dry now due to lack of rain for a while.
