GRAS Elenin Images From Oct 13th - NEOs With YU-55 Plotted

I don't see any brown dwarf stars dimming the star field TBar..

I got labelled a "shill" yesterday because I told a particular poster that he was out of his mind.

His thread claimed that Elenin would hit the Earth soon, but before then aliens would start plucking people from their homes in some sort of "alien rapture"...

Dunno, maybe the remaining piece from the 11th got mad at the bitter half and separated? I heard there was a lot of that in that neighborhood.

I hear the dwarf has appeared out near Neptune, can't seem to find it there either though...

Must be because the Dwarf is really a black hole, sucking up
all visible light...

Or is it that the Dwarf is a spaceship controlled by ETs that
is currently cloaked?

Or does the Dwarf have red and blue orbitals? Isn't the
Dwarf supposed to be here in October... Actually, the 11th?

Or is the Dwarf really a 'magnetic field', like Dr. Glenn said?
Isn't the 'magnetic field' only 3 days behind Elenin?

But wait... I forgot, Elenin is actually a black hole,
which is a hiding the Dwarf behind it.

Francis had the right idea since I first started talking to
him back in May 2011. He didn't believe the Elenin hype, but
is going to take advantage of it by writing book. This would
actually make a pretty damn good book.

Just thought I'd throw this out there.

If you look at the diagram of Comets that will survive verses those that will disintegrate at Perihelion here [link to spaceobs.org] , you will see that basically, NASA EXPECTED this comet to disintegrate from day ONE.

The earliest video I could find talking about Elenin's magnitude is here [link to www.youtube.com] showing the April 8th report where JPL changed the Absolute Magnitude to 10.6 from 12. Any Comet that passes the Sun at Elenin's distance would have to have an Absolute Magnitude Brighter than 10.0 to have a good chance of surviving Perihelion.

So, all this time the Web was being saturated with this Elenin BS, JPL was sitting back laughing and mumbling, the damn thing is going to disintegrate...

You know what I said was partly tongue in cheek, I knew it was Sorcha Faal's article but just thought I'd throw it in for fun.

Still, shouldn't either Elenin or it's remants be observable with a descent telescope by now? If it can't be seen, then maybe it's just not where it is supposed to be? Could it have disintergrated so much that nothing of it can be seen?

Just putting it out there - I don't know the answers to these questions.

I think it's very probable that Elenin has indeed disintegrated and will only be visible with larger telescopes. Considering that every time we have seen an image of Elenin it was located right where the Orbital Elements said it should be, I have no reason to think it should be located any where else.

Well today and tomorrow it should be as close to the Earth as it will come. Considering what has been said about disintegration, you would be correct in saying that it is right where it should be. I just find it strange that with all the hype over this object, that no one is either able too or wants to use those big scopes to view its remains and establish that it has indeed disintegrated and is still on course.
