"Police say the protestors were throwing bottles and bags of garbage at officers, triggering the police response, Sandberg reported. Police say they were trying to control the situation when it got out of hand."

Watching the evolution of these protests has been predictable, if you ask me. The left wing anarchists cannot stand to be ignored so they proverbially stamp there feet (cause violence) to be heard.
I for one look forward to police putting them down in an orderly fashion. There is no room for this type of behavior in the U.S. right now.

The only problem with your desires is that the police are the ones who were violent, while the protesters remain steadfast and non-violent.

Take a closer look at these protests before you judge them. They are standing against corporate greed, corporate influence over politics (and politicians) and other problems that we face today.

Your thoughts should not be with the police. They are armed and trained. Your thoughts should be instead with the peaceful protesters who have a Constitutional right to protest.

You're either on the side of the Constitution, or you're an enemy of the state. Choose.

Because I still make a very good living doing what i do in my career. Some people make a lot of money, but guess what? They put themselves in that position by going to school and doing the right things to get there. I bet none of them 'expected' to be handed anything. I cannot support this generation of 'entitlement kids'.

How could anyone love big brother government so much? after all, and as the OWS crowd claims, big government robbed us and GAVE OUR money to the wall street 1%.

oh what the popo fags who got 43 mill from JG Wentworth or some other robber baron??? i think 43 mill could have been hush money to alot of protesters if diviied to the powerless rather than fagpigs with guns and pepper spray and dicks in their asshole. go back to the gym you morans, stop real crime like rape and taxation without representation.

and to all you skum who side with the cops... the oathkeepers aint on that side, no no no boys, you want war... keep fucking up the citizens who employ you rather than the ones who bribe you.

Some are born in poverty, just so you know.
And while you are being a happy geezer with your little flags, millions are dying all over the world. Eventually at the cost of our richness and much goodie feelings..

You go, boys.

I'm all for change, but the solution must be intelligent. When I see protesters in the street backing up an idea that does not require a central bank or money AND they have a math proof for it, then I'll give my full support.

Grownups today are like children that 'play' reality. They lie, ignore consequences of their actions, live in self-denial etc.

I'd help but I'm in a phase where I've given up on people.

The bottom line here, if you are against these protests, you are anti-American. That any of you would suggest the notion that these people are operating outside their rights is utterly ridiculous.

Read your Constitution.

These protesters are out there putting their freedom on the line while cowards such as yourselves armchair-quarterback the entire affair.

Change is coming. Big change is coming. Brace yourselves. Laugh as you will at this movement... but sooner or later, your laughter will be silenced.

You can't stop the awakening. You'll either join the awakening at some point, or you will join the other criminals-against-humanity at the end of a rope.

You're afraid of what's coming... That's understandable. You don't like that corporate greed will be trampled, that lobbying and all corporate influence over politics will be made illegal.

You're well-to-do and the only way you can feel superior to anyone is to continue this illusion of deserving vs. undeserving. You are not more deserving. You are not superior.

Change is coming to your door. If you don't answer, expect your door to be torn from its hinges.

Either open up, or meet the end of the battering ram face-to-face. It's your choice.
 Quoting: GlobalRevolution 3274372

Is that a threat? So it's going to be like the French Revolution and all of us who don't support communism will be lead to the guillotine? Fuck You! The collective brain power of these protest 'tards couldn't light a single bulb. They are sheep being led by Obama to do his dirty work.

We can't go back to a system that does not work.
And this means, every system historically known.

My thoughts, it's gonna tumble any way. And we might as well use a good cleaning of all that is corrupt.

I am not north-american but I have an opinion on this 'occupy' thing.

If these people want to protest, fine, but they should be protesting in front of the Congress, in front of the White House, to push the US leaders and lawmakers to implement (or not) the changes they want to see.

Instead they go to NYC protest on Wall Street where the 'capitalists' are. This is ideology, pure ideology crap.

It's not that we love the elite, it's that we despise the 10% calling themselves the 99%. These brats were brought up being told that they're special and will be CEOs and big shots, then once they got into the real world they can't handle the fact that they need to start from the bottom... And the fact that their degree doesn't do jack shit for them. So they decide to take it out on successful people.
Plus the fact that they don't even know why they're there... What do they want, for the rich to throw their money over the balcony???? Lol get real. Get a fucking job and stop fucking crying. At least 70% of us are laughing at you and wish the cops would use more pepper spray.
