Are you serious?? Do you know the ratings for this show? How much they make off of merchandise? The comic is still running strong and is on issue #94. I read the comics and watch the show and I enjoy both of them. This show could go on and on. They get to introduce characters and kill them off as often as they like. Plus they can go into an endless selection of story arcs and settings.

He was shot in the head. If the brain is damaged the virus can't activate the brain so they don't come back. Any dead bodies shown in the series, like in the cars they pass for example, were in car wrecks and sustained brain injuries.

Everyone is infected. This is why the zombie population rose and continues to rise so quickly. Imagine the SHTF and you will have lots of people wreck cars, have heart attacks, opt out (the ones who didn't blown their brains out), people in hospitals or people that required medication to stay alive, etc.

It also explains why the military was shooting the walkers and the non-walkers in the hospital when Shane went to rescue Rick. They knew everyone was infected.

What we don't know if why is everyone infected? Was it a biological weapon that was used to attack us or maybe it was being created in a military lab and it got out into the population? That is the million dollar question!

I can actually see them at least exploring this. But I don't think it will be Lori. Maybe the group will discover a dead woman with evidence this had happened to her. Of course with a bullet in her head to add to the tragic scene, perhaps the father beside her, with a self inflicted gunshot wound.

It will of course have an effect on Rick and Lori.

imo laurie's baby will probably have the antibodies to the virus which will save humanity.

I totally forgot about the hospital and those scenes with the soldiers. They where shooting anybody and everybody that was in that place, like they knew already (remember they soldiers where in those MOP suits) that it was airborne and told that everyone is infected. It would also make sense, if it was just from a bite the disease couldn't get through enough people because when a zombie bites he's biting for food and if he kills it or stops this person he will continue to devour them. The world and countries would respond faster than enough zombies being made especially when reports start surfacing that every time someone is biten they turn.

Also do anybody remember the first episode of season one when Shane and Rick where in the police car driving before the spending vehicle passed them by for the chase? I believe on the radio there was some reporter talking about strange reports of people being attacked and bit by other people and then it cut off.

there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that everyone is infected.

all the bullshit about shane cutting himself with the knife, and daryl getting stabbed with the arrow coated in zombie blood doesnt matter.

if you are already infected...and you come across the blood it doesnt matter. if you already have hiv...and you fuck someone with the same hiv type as you...you wont die any faster.

but when people get the bites...and the scratches, they get infected. then they slowly die...from bacteria. once they die, they change. same with randall, shane, the cops they saw with no bites marks.

see, the script is written in a way to reflect the avg zombie ideas we have today, which is that the infection is spread through bites or scratches. but really, this show is portraying the idea that ALL are infected.

thats the reason there are so many zombies.

but what are the writers trying to tell us? everyone has the sheep gene? that everyone is infected with bullshit? that this is our life "after death" and that we are just dead walking?

By the way people, the Analogy of Dale finding the torn up cow and ending the same way, it´s like a display of how much cattle humans became in this Zombie infested world, the Zombies are new Predators, the new Top of the Food Chain, never resting, always going on, hypnotically driven like we are today, consuming as much as we can, whenever we can.
As I expected, Shane will not see Season 3, but that with Dales Farewell leaves a great opportunity to introduce some fresh Characters and finally ends the damn "we once were fuck buddies" Story.

Rick is a real Leader now, knowing Shane would lead him into a trap, he knew already when they where walking through the Forest, Shane thought Rick was weak enough because they did not pulled of the Execution in the Barn, that and his obvious damaged mental state made him finally freak out trying to overtake as THE Alpha Male, but to break a lance for Shane, he DID care for Carl, but in the End not knowing if it´s his baby in this belly, he made Carl HIS Son in his Mind, totally ignoring the consequences of what he tried to pull off with Rick.

Next Episode is gonna be awesome, I really think we´ll see Merle Dixon in the last few minutes, I already can hear him say something like: WELL, WELL, who we have got here....

It's gonna be like Christmas when we were kids. The time will drag until Sunday night, then it will fly by, and after the rush is over we will be left waiting for next season.

I can't wait to see how Daryl's character is developed. I hope they don't ruin him by having him hook up with Carol. More zombie action, less soap opera crap. I have not read the comics, but my understanding is season three should be awesome.

From the pic I saw of them walking on a dirt road to Daryl on a motorbike with Carol, I think I know who will die. We know Shane, but it will also be the whole farm family and to be honest with you Glen is going to die trying to save his girlfriend. Oh yea, watch the webisodes they look cool at IMDB or other places.

Loved season two. Yeah, some episodes a little slow, but boy did they make up for it in second half of the season.
