Interesting to note...

There is an apparent closure of one of the busiest highways in my area from 6am till 11am to review an accident scene that happened last week. They will be routing traffic thru the city and other ETR's ( Emergency detour route). Swing gates have been installed on all on-ramps.

It will be interesting to see how much or how little is left of the debris trail after it magically exploded August 23rd. We may have some very pretty meteor showers (I hope) when it passes by in the next few weeks depending on how long it's debris trail is.

When is earth expected to actually PASS through it's debris trail??

There have been northwards of 10000+ predictions of doom on this site since I've been browsing almost 7 years ago. You know, back in the day when Trinity wasn't the owner of this site.
There have been multiple events that were supposed to decimate earth, release reptiles from the sun, shutdown the entire internet, etc etc blah blah blah.

Still, people shout at the top of the mountain tops that the sky is falling. Always another "something" to come along to attach their lives to and get everyone's feathers ruffled only to be proven wrong like the thousands before them.

I'd venture to guess that Star Newspaper you see in the grocery store has a better batting average than GLP...

Just because the comet broke up doesn't mean that the tail that already existed magically disappeared.

One thing that could happen when earth passes through the tail of the comet is that the debris could knock out satellites. If that happens, communications could be severely affected. Cell phones won't work, GPS won't work, and the Internet could be severely impaired, if not entirely knocked out.

The implications are that banking, and therefore businesses, could be brought to it's knees. What will people do when they can't use their ATM and credit cards? Will banks even allow you to withdraw cash from your own accounts? This could lead to a world-wide collapse in the economy.

This is not fear-mongering, it's just simple fact.

Let's hope that the satellites survive this intact.

Correction, cell phones use towers and land-lines primarily. But that still leaves the Internet vulnerable. It's not entirely satellite, but it is still vulnerable.

Okay, it turns out that due to cost considerations and time lag issues, the Internet also primarily uses land-lines. This means that the Internet users that would be affected would mostly be satellite Internet users - those that get their Internet service through companies such as Direct TV, Dish TV, HugesNet, etc.

Whew! So losing satellites wouldn't have as big an affect on banking and business as I had thought. I think that I was confusing losing the satellites with losing the grid. Now THAT would bring down the Internet!

I live in Houston Texas and I just saw what looked like a blue star cruising across the sky slowly leaning downwards to the left as if directly crossing the moons path coming from the bottom left but not yet visible as it was 7:20 and barely Dusk so the sky was somewhat blue. So if I could describe the moons path with the stars path it would of been kinda like a lazy X as to where the X should round off at the top to indicate the lean or tilt in the trajectories path i.e. moon, elenin but anyways could Elenin be Considered the Blue Star Katchina from the Hopi Prophecy? It took off its mask would be the CME that impacted Elenin and sumwhat purified it with its fires and dances in the plaza could mean that it appears in our Earth sky and reveals itself?

If it wasn't for elenin I wouldn't have discovered this site. So, thank you elenin for enabling me to meet other conspiracy theorist. Maybe one day someone will name their heavy metal band after you.

27500 Miles.

No satellites will be affected.
