Got basic info on mixing up cob, for building structures?
How about how to use the sun for 'firing' clay pots?
How about how to sun dry foods, tomatoes, et al?
How about basic medicinals, like pine and eucalyptus, dandelions and others that pretty much grow everywhere?

Other books/ sources to recommend, OLD issues of Mother Earth news, etc.? (Yes, I agree, the Foxfire books are great, as are any books, if you can find them, from the Farm in Tennessee, or any other successful 'hippie' commune from the sixties and seventies....some of those folks were very serious about getting back to the land, and learned and shared a lot)

Everyone should get a copy also, of the "Barefoot Doctor's Manual" what chinese doctors use when going into the poorest, most remote villages to care for hurt and sick...excellent ideas in there, on how to use what is at hand for medical care.

how do you make things sterile if you have no alchohol?
