Nope, the draft cut off is 26, I believe...you can volunteer up to 35, depending on the service. Army is 35 and Marines is 28. Prior service is up to 59.

Most of them are over 35....Highest GOP support of under 30 is for Ron Paul. Now that doesn't surprise me, lol.

Anyone who was around during the Titor stuff in 2003ish knows most of his major predicted events were suppose to happen around 05-07. By this time the USA would have ceased to exist and there would be full scale civil war. The USA cities would be getting nuked by Russia next year to end this war.

Funny how people have kept the Titor hoax alive by pushing back the dates.

He's trying to engineer the past. Hoax or no hoax, the guy who pretended to be from the future was very good at predicting likely trends.

Titor left a lot of false information. But he left information that leaves people questioning stuff. That is exactly the effect he wants to create.

A little food for thought.
Even if the Draft were re-instated today it would be 18 to 24 months before the military could take the first draftees.
Why would it take so long?
First off there is no active Bill in Congress for a draft.
Then you have all the logistics involved on the military side.
You need places to train the draftees. Right now the military doesn't have the "space".
That would mean having to re-activate and refurbish de-activated training facilities.
The volunteer military would have to expanded first as well to provide people to train the people and maintain these re-opened bases.
Then you need to cloth, arm and feed them.
This means new contracts and time to manufacture the goods and equipment. Everything from underwear, ammunition and MRE's to vehicles to transport these drafted troops.
Then there's re-activating dormant units.
This all takes time.
It could be done badly in 8 to 12 months if we were attacked but the premise of this thread is the U.S. preparing to invade another country so 18 to 24 months is more accurate.

Word on the timeline is that Titor threw a monkey wrench in the original plan and delayed it but I think he was clear that at one point TPTB wanted WW3 to happen.

TPTB could have simply been delayed with this Titor 'issue', they certainly weren't to make a prophet out of him...

A U.S. draft would absolutely happen if a U.S. city were to be nuked or radiated.

The draft is also more likely to happen when there is a high unemployment rate yet the armed forces offers a way of survival.

But what kind of mentality would be required to allow a draft? I'm thinking of Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers. It is a Nazi-like future where racism is not a part of it.

Why do we fight, we fight for citizenship? If you don't fight, you will have no future.

I'm thinking a Heinlein mentality is required. When you see your brothers and sisters start shouting war slogans, a draft is not far behind.

This will lead up to World War 3 a U.S. Civil War and then a final World War 4. The war to truly end all wars on earth before we venture out into cold space.

The fictional U.S. drama Star Trek also guesses this will be our future before we move on to exploration.
