In countries where we are intimidated to hide our fear, our emotions, there is more violence. America is the most violent country when it comes to family abuse...
Quoting: EazyD You would think with the advantages and level of education of Americans they would have less to fear and more freedom to express themselves. Maybe this is not the case. Americans have been taught that neglecting their children is acceptable. I can't really put it any plainer than this, we're one or two generations away from losing civil society in this country because we might not be able to do a seemingly fundamental thing like raise enough healthy children, apparently by design. How could someone be taught that child abuse is acceptable, and even worse how could we let this happen. How could any sane rational human just stand by. Its not the kids fault and it could just as easily be me or you. It's more like ritualized deprivation to bonding behavior and selective traumatic imprinting... to get all technical. The result, over a generation or two, is a steadily increasing state of disassociation from reality and from real human relationships. Add a baby into the mix, and it doesn't get held or whatever you do with a baby (  ), and it gets passed on from the day a new life is brought into such circumstances, on the most basic neurological level.
