Hmmm....more and more of this thread is becoming closer to the truth albeit the timelines are off a year or two it seems...

Get use to weather extremes, all caused by mans over use of carbon fuels. The atmosphere is suppose to contain only 180 ppm of CO2 but today it stands at double that figures at 392ppm.
At present rates mankind is emitting 90 million tons of CO2 per DAY right into the great sewer which we call our atmosphere.
At this pace we could be seeing CO2 ppm at 650 in only a few decades. So get use to these weather extremes because it will only get worse until we radically change our common fuel source or learn to sequester the over abundance of CO2 in some manner.

While I do agree that we use too much fossil fuel, these weather changes are more likely cyclical. I used to be a believer that global warming/climate change is man made, but after actually educating myself about our planet and its history I have come to the conclusion that the earth's climate changes naturally over time. History and archaeology proves this.

I gave up hope for a fossil fuel-free existence on this planet after travelling the world and seeing the insane pollution spewed into the air by the zillions of people in places like south and central america, mexico, china and india to name just a few.

We have had deer, a dozen at a time, feeding on the acorns in our yard. They have never came this close before as we have dogs that would run them off. The acorns are so many this year that some of the limbs are almost touching the ground.I haven't seen them like this ever!

At least one tornado.Seems like I read someplace there were more.

It is too sudden for many of the worlds species to adapt with these new extremes. Sea life is at a perilous state caused by its absorption of carbon that has led to a much more acidic ocean. The over acidic ocean is hell for newly forming shellfish larvae and coral reef formations. Our seas are dieing right in front of us because they are forced to absorb so much carbon in such a small amount of geological time. The species can't evolve fast enough to keep up with the far too rapid pace of these man-made induced evolutionary pressures.

He uses Kelvin and he goes below zero in Kelvin. Anyone with basic understanding of physics knows 0 kelvin is absolute zero and no where near 5 degrees fahrenheit.

If he butches that up how can someone take him seriously as a weatherman?

Neoweather.com showed some pictures of large waves on Lake Erie. Not 25 foot, at least I don't think, but they were good sized. Florida had a tornado yesterday the went on for 2 miles. This weather isn't unheard of but does not happen all the time. Ohio is going to break a rainfall record by tonight, so that tells me this has happened before or their would be no record to break.

I remember from my younger days that the little city I live in had a winter F1. The weather reports are saying that La Nina is going to stay with us through the winter giving us lots of snow and colder temps than normal.

Where's the global warming? Al Gore, bend over and I'll show you.

When I read through this thread somewhat fast instead of seeing 'Earth completing its wobble' i got Earth's upcoming wobble in my thoughts. I wonder if that has any significance?

Where do you live in NC? I am in Hickory and have lived here all my life. It seems like we have had 10+ years of summer,fall,spring... and no winter. Last Christmas was the best! Me and my 5 year old son where in 2 news papers because of the igloo we built on Christmas day!
