Real estate being bought up.
Have been looking at acreages for sale last couple months in our area. Mostly under $100,000. I didn't look for the last two weeks and now all the ones within about 300 to 400 miles are gone. There were no "sale pending" labels on any off these listings, and they aren't listed as sold, they have just been pulled off market, sold quickly, or something.

I haven't had a chance to drive by any close by to see if for sale signs have been removed. Most of these were fairly remote, 5 acres or more, not on paved roads, and all had houses. The properties with no houses are still listed. There were about 25 to 30 properties.

Could all these have sold with-in two weeks time? I know it wasn't any longer than this. They were listed on Zillow and with local realtors.

I don't know what area you are in, but maybe people think they won't sell their property over the winter, and they took it off the market to put it back on sale in the spring?

The ones without buildings on them are the valuable ones.

I live in the upper mississippi valley. Lots of rural area. Lots of hills and trees. Can't see why they would pull them off the market, seems it would cost more to relist it in the spring, than it would to just leave it listed.

No buildings on the property usually means no well. I can under stand no electricity, but you need access to water.

For long term investment, that makes sense, because you pay much higher property taxes on land with buildings? Am I right?
