LOL.. you and I posted at the exact same moment I think... I'm guessing a 4.5 or so, if we were near the epicenter.

OH PULEEZ 4.2 is barely notieable and there is no way she felt it up in Oregon. I live in Sacramento and it was not felt here - only 70 miles away.

It was on the UC Berkeley campus. which has the Hayward Fault running right through it.

I'm in Martinez, on the other side of the Berkeley hills - it was a very sharp, sudden and quick jerk at my house.

It is odd, they took it down to 3.9 scale, I don't think people will sense that scale eq and say it is big.

Don't say "hopefully" - the Hayward Fault is capable of a bigger earthquake than the San Andreas Fault under SFO. The last big quake there was 130-140 years ago - way, way overdue.

It certainly wasn't huge... but it was pretty sharp. I live pretty much right on the Hayward fault line, though -- so it makes sense it felt sharper here than elsewhere.

It was long lasting and big enough to have to wonder if this was a big one and duck and cover. Made my heart pound.

It was shallow ... 9.8 km... that's why it felt bigger than the number might indicate.

Hope that was the main show, folks... I don't need personal doom today.

We shook for a few good seconds... one sharp jolt, and then a few seconds of shaking.

Those of us who have been through big quakes get nervous when the shaking goes on very long... '89 quake started out like that, and then got bigger as it went.

3.9 according to KRON. I thought I felt something but my dogs came running downstairs going apeshit and then I realized it was an earthquake.

Exactly!

It gets scary when it keeps going for a few seconds. You never know if it's going to get stronger or more severe.

Something is definitely going on, the uptick continues...
GET SAVED: Thread: Are you SAVED from DAMNATION?

"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." -- Galatians 5:14-26
