U.S. Troop Withdrawal Motivated by Iraqi Insistence, Not U.S. Choice
President Obama’s speech formally declaring that the last 43,000 U.S. troops will leave Iraq by the end of the year was designed to mask an unpleasant truth: The troops aren’t being withdrawn because the U.S. wants them out. They’re leaving because the Iraqi government refused to let them stay.

I thought this was common knowledge?

They have their own parliament now, so they have chosen to be sovereign. Seems logical to me.

USA had to leave someday, agreed? That day will be sometime this year.

So, what is the problem?

thats what they always say its situations like this (foreign country x insists that we withdraw our forces), mainly america is setting up business in Africa, so its turning over Iraq to the Iraquis and I'm sure you'll see US forces shifted in Libya and other parts of Africa shortly.

So which country will take over power in the region? Surely not Iraq. So, maybe Turkey? Or Iran?

China.

They now have the technical and military know-how to move into any power vacuum. They already have most of Africa.

Good, now China can throw their money down the toilet and we can be off the hook.

true.

china is the future, but only because everyone throws their problems their way, and the fix it any way they see best.
In any respect, it's a lie, troops or troop surrogates will remain, just,as is the way of the lawyer/liar redefined officially into something else.
All in all 800 billion dollars wasted, not to mention all the lives of the naive or foolish, and nothing to show for it save for a boot in the arse and a push out the door

I figured they would just change the designation from active troops to support or something like that.
We opened doors by thinking.
