Hi! Can you consciously control the amplitude?  Hmm.. Ive been able to consciously control a tingling feeling within, by flexing muscles that have the effect of causing the back of my neck/ears to slightly move all the way down my back... The sound of course does sound louder when in a silent room... But I can't say I've ever really thought about trying to control the sound intensity.It's quite easy. Just focus in on the sound. Really focus, like a light meditative state. It also, may help to close you eyes.
