This picture freaks me out... Look at the phoenix rising in the background... Merkel's shadow seems to be lifting it up too...weird. Also there is a phoenix on Merkel's podium...but not Sarkozy's.   Interesting. Only the naive would believe that the Gemans are willing to faal on their proverbial sword. The Germans have found to the last man for their preservation, dating back to the Roman Empire. No need to believe their basic national survival instincts are any less today.
