Please Pray For My Sisters Grandchildren 5 & 6 Year Olds Hit By Car With Their 6 Year Old Friend (Mia Has Died)

Just wanted to stop in for a minute to let you know that prayers are still being lifted up to our Lord for the precious young girls and their families.

Crazy tree branches coming down all over my neighborhood. One just missed my wifes car in the street. Had to move it after that down the block. As we were walking back down the middle of the street (me and a neighbor), a very large branch fell above us with a diameter of about 8 inches. It landed on the wires above. Sparks started flying everywhere as I pulled my neighbor to safety. Part of it just missed him as part of it hit the street. The large branch was hanging on about 8 other wires which will not hold it for too much longer.

We are expected to get 45mph winds later tonight. Those trees are gonna be popping all over the place.

Problem is that this storm is happening too early in the season while the trees have all their leaves. That gives a much larger area for the snow and ice to accumulate. The branches become way too heavy.

There are fire engines everywhere, and my block is almost completely closed off by fallen branches. I'm sure the rest of the city is the same.

Otherwise everything is ok.

Update from Alyssa's Mom: UPDATE: Alyssa's pressure is at 11 right now. It's been pretty stable all day. Her oxygen is at 100; though, they had to raise the settings. They tried to take her off one blood pressure medicine and put her on another, but she didn't like it. It went too low. They put her back on; now it's too high. They'll figure it out soon. All in all, today is a good day. :)

Not sure what city in PA you live in Watchmen, but I live in PA also. Hope that wind doesn't get to bad. I'm not much into my electricity going out. I'm in Southeastern PA so the snow isn't as bad but what we did get is really wet and just laying like blobs on the trees. Not a good thing if the wind picks up.

Although the day doesn't sound perfect, it seems a little less eventful compared to yesterday. I sure hope that is right. Still sending up prayers and lots of light for Alyssa, you and your family!

Will be praying for them tonight. Im tired of cowards. I urge parents to take their children away from the big cities. This is no way to live. America's judgement is coming. Crimes are exploding across the country, take notice.

UPDATE: Alyssa's brain pressure has stayed under 25 all day. Woo Hoo!!!

There's nothing new to report this Sunday morning, and I'm just fine with that because the last news was good news. It appears to be holding so far which of course is a good sign that healing has begun.

As the old saying goes... "No news is good news!"

I do not live in PA. I live in NYC, and today (Sunday) after it all finally ended last night, man what a big mess. I have about 6 huge branches down in my back yard alone, all of which are from neighbors trees.

There are also 2 very large branches right in front of my house where my wifes car was parked. Thank God I moved it to a safer location yesterday.

There is also one large branch right in the middle of our front lawn that fell right on top of our halloween decorations.

The rest of my street is covered with huge branches everywhere, with hundreds of smaller branches on front lawns, sidewalks, on fences, on cars, street, and even on rooftops.

This is one that will always be remembered even though we only had about 2 inches of wet and freezing snow.

Thank God we never got the 45mph winds that were forecast.

There are still branches falling as I write this. On just fell and hit the side of my house where I'm sitting. That's the 4th or 5th so far this morning.

There are many damaged trees and cracked branches that will be falling all day and evening I'm sure! I can hear them coming down in neighbors yards as well as my own as the winds are picking up now.

Massive cleanup after the dangers of falling branches finally passes.

I'm so glad to hear the good news!

No news is AWESOME NEWS in this case!

UPDATE: Alyssa had a great night! They had to adjust her blood pressure meds a few times, but that's become our normal. Her brain pressure stayed under their max. The highest it went was 20 and the lowest was 7. It averaged around 13-16. It"s currently at 12.

Get this!!! She's at 100% brain activity...even in a coma. They said it's fine, as long as her ICP's (brain pressure) stay down. My little 'Lyssa Lizard is probably having some great dreams.

Even in the hospital, laying among tubes and wires, she's absolutely beautiful.

I´ll keep thinking of her, and her parents and little sis. OMG what a desaster they are in!

Update #1. approx 6:00pm EDT:

A little while ago, Christin reported the following:

"Alyssa's brain pressure is up again. It went to 31. They're giving her medicine, but her pressure isn't dropping as quickly as it usually does. It's still at 29. It needs to be a lot lower. She has 100% brain activity and she started moving a little and trying to cough because of the pneumonia. They need to sedate her more."

Then, less than 10 minutes later, she reported,

"All three of her IV's have failed today. The coma medicine wasn't getting to her. That's why her brain pressure is going up and won't come down; the medicine isn't reaching her. They're going to give her some medicine through her central line, then put in a new IV."

Please pray that they get this problem under control. Thanks!

Update #2. approx 6:10pm EDT:

According to Christin, all three of Alyssa's IVs have failed today, and the coma medicine isn't reaching her. That's the reason her brain pressure keeps increasing and they are unable to control it. They'll be giving her some coma meds through her central line and will then put in a new IV. Pray that they get this problem -- and her brain pressure -- under control! Thank you!

Update #3. approx 6:15pm EDT:

Christin is now reporting, "I guess they decided to just run it (the coma medication) through the central line. Maybe they will add another IV later. Her pressure is back down to 15 now."

Praying again, right now.

God Bless her mother--I can't imagine watching your own young daughter go through all of this--it's heartbreaking.

Amen! Her mother needs our prayers too. Thank God at least there was a reason for Alyssa's brain pressure to rise. It sure goes to show that the induced coma is completely necessary. Maybe God's way of telling us that the doctors can be trusted to do his work. Sending some prayers of thanks couldn't hurt. Makes you realize that there are so many people that need to be given attention with our prayers and light.

Watchmen, please let us know how it all went, when you can.

Still praying several times a day Alyssa and for all those related to her care and family.

UPDATED Monday approx 5:00am EDT 10/31/11:

They turned Alyssa's breaths per minute down to 16 AND GUESS WHAT?! She's talking an additional 4-10 breaths per minute ON HER OWN!!!

They said they will allow her to keep breathing these breaths on her own as long as her brain pressure stays low. WHICH IT IS.

You should see the puzzled looks she's been causing today. That's my strong little girl! You prove them wrong, baby.
