Could the Mayan end date of December 24th 2011 be the overlooked one ?
Much talk has been done concerning the October 28th 2011 date or the more widespread December 21st 2012 one, but very few have studied or explained why December 24th 2011 was regarded as the official date, way back in the 70s.

Re: Could the Mayan end date of December 24th 2011 be the overlooked one ?

"What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal."
-Albert Pike

• The smallest good deed is better than the grandest good intention. •

“Your Majesty, please… I don’t like to complain,
But down here below, we are feeling great pain.
I know, up on top you are seeing great sights,
But down here at the bottom we, too, should have rights.
We turtles can’t stand it. Our shells will all crack!
Besides, we need food. We are starving!” groaned Mack.

“You hush up your mouth!” howled the mighty King Yertle.
“You’ve no right to talk to the world’s highest turtle.
I rule from the clouds! Over land! Over sea!
There’s nothing, no, NOTHING, that’s higher than me!”

its ends on winter solstice day 11:11am 2012. doesn't matter about how many days or whatever were calculated...seeing as how time is created by man anyways.
