Anonymous Coward User ID: 1443071 United States 10/22/2011 07:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It been a while since I have done this because its so expensive to buy now. It is better to apply to dry hair thats when its the most porus to soak in. I also have used Chamomile tea too for shine and softness. You can keep it in a spray bottle and use as a conditioner. Another home remady for hair is beer (cheap dont matter) let it soak for about 15 minutes then use a gentle shampoo to rinse out. I am going to have to go back to this too it worked so much better especially since my hair is over treated and dry. |

Mayo is way cheaper than those salon ones the hairdressers try and sell ya. It's pretty cheap here (like $3.00). I get the real mayo because all the info i've read says to use the real stuff. Good to know about the beer and tea. I give it a try. Thanks for the info. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 1313077 Canada 10/22/2011 07:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I tried it once in High School-must have used too much because it took days to wash out. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1518664 Oddly, I was just thinking of doing it again, I'm certain it works, but you just need the extra time. I'm tell ya, it worked wonders. My hairdresser gave me heck cuz my hair was dry when he cut it. Then he sold me $60.00 in salon deep conditions. None worked that well. I color and straighten my hair so it's fried. Mainly cuz I wasn't doing treatments like I use to. So I did the mayo last week and I got asked by a few people how I get my hair so shiny and straight. I couldn't believe they said that about my fried hair. It's a miracle conditioner. |

anonimalle User ID: 3818676 United States 10/22/2011 07:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | my hair is super dry from flat ironing and colouring. i've tried the salon treatments and none work as well as mayonnaise. just tried it once and it worked wonders. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1313077 so i applied it dry to my hair and let it sit for a couple hours. rinsed it out with cold water and my hair was much better. i'm going to keep doing it till it's in better condition. --can anyone who uses this condition suggest whether it's better to apply it to your hair dry, wet or after it's washed? what's works best to penetrate the hair shaft. also, do you use just mayo or add other ingredients like egg yolks or olive oil? I have before. My best one is honey and some kind of oil. Wrap it in plastic and add the heat of a blow dryer. Really nice. information synthesist User ID: 3818877 Norway 10/22/2011 08:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | use mayonnaise to get rid of head lice from hair. the poison they sell is $15.00 for less than an ounce, and the POISON does enter the skin of the human, whereas mayo is $3.00 for a giant jar, enough for 10-15 uses and it is NOT poison. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1545100 United States 10/22/2011 08:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What I enjoy doing is moisten some bread then dab a healthy portion of mayo onto bread. Then I shape the bread and mayo and stick it on my face. Allow it to dry. Not to dry because it will fall off. Then I walk up to any one that might be eating and start to tell them about how this zit on my face feels like its ready to pop anytime. Then I squeeze the bread and mayo with index finger and thumb. Looks like a huge infected zit popping and oozing. For more details buy my book. |
