Anyone in Texas experiencing swarms of mosquitoes?

I'm in the same area and if you remember there was no mosquitoes for a while until it finally rained a week or two ago.
Now they have made up for the lost time and reproduced a shit load. I must have 10 bites on me right now...

Ya i live in southeast texas and we were talking about how bad they were last night.., try fighting them off while changing your oil lol

Im in east texas and i havent experienced any.

I'm in Houston also and it is insane how many mosquitos are around. This is ever since yesterday, when I took my dog outside and saw that there was literally a cloud of mosquitos around her.

I was at Jason's Deli earlier today and we came in from eating outside after 5 minutes because there were too many mosquitos. A lady who was leaving walked up to us and asked, "Did you come in because of the mosquitos?" We said yes and she agreed that they are everywhere all of a sudden. My girlfriend turned on the news tonight and they were even talking about it on the news.

It's rained lately so that accounts for some of it, but I've lived here for a while and can't remember a time when it was this bad.

I live in Austin and it was bad over here yesterday. So many of them it was scary. I went back inside for fear of catching something from one of them...weird!

Mineral Wells here, I was weed eating with the weed eater, dam near got carried off by them.
I barely escaped with my life I tell you.
These here, are about the size of a dime. 15 gang up on you and you're toast! They can suck you dry quick... It's a good thing I had the weed eater, to fend them off with, or I would be a goner...

BIG TIME OUTBREAK majority of the stores are sold out of "off" and these mosquitos are not the normal we had in the past , these bastards are blood hungry leeches. I lost a pint of blood over the past two days from these suckers sw houston here

Was out and about around Centerville yesterday and there were absolute swarms of mosquitoes. Friends there said it had been reported on their news that the mosquitoes were actually worse than the drought if that could be possible!

I thought the same thing, Here in Houston we got a good dose of rain about a week and half ago. I was thinking it wasn't worth it what we are going through now

Same here. They were swarming around the dog when I let him out. They were swarming me when I was watering the plants. They were also swarming me when I was filling gas into the lawnmower.

The little suckers are horrible here.in the suburbs of San Antonio. But my husband said they weren't bad downtown tonight.

We've got those big striped mosquitoes that leave huge welts when they bite. Ew!

I am in Houston - It has rained quite enough over the past few weeks to bring them out...

I was sitting here scratching the bites on my leg, and I look over next to me and see a mosquito sitting on the wall.

The body was as big as a dime, and was bigger than a quarter with it's huge legs.

...then SMACK dead.

Funny! When down around Centerville we were joking about them going from extracting blood to giving us transfusions! Not even ONE was killed that wasn't full of blood and believe me we killed plenty...did not relocate! haha
