For someone who understands dreams...
This weekend I had a bizarre dream.

I was looking for a house to buy with my friend. I go in this house and in one of the bedrooms, Saddam Hussein is sitting on the bed with a blank look on his face. I turn to leave the room and hear a gunshot go off. I look back and he had blown his head off.

I turn to my friend and say "No way am I buying THIS house" He replies with, "You have no choice, you have a contract on it". Freaked out, I woke up.

Then this a.m. I'm sound asleep. I hear my name spoken by a man clear as day in my right ear. I sat straight up because it startled me. I was sleepy, but knew the voice was familiar, just couldn't place it.

I went back to sleep and again, in my right ear a woman says my name and wakes me up again.

What the heck is going on? I need to get some rest!
.....And Grace will lead me home.

Is your house haunted?
Mine is, and I've encountered an apparition, noises and a disembodied voice in my bedroom that my husband heard as well.
A bit of research might clarify the possibility.

I think that if it is the case you have some sort of injury or illness that this will be relieved somehow.

Re: For someone who understands dreams...
From what I understand of dreams in Jungian concepts, people in the dream represent aspects of your own psyche. A house could represent your body for example (attic or upstairs bedroom could represent something going on in your head) or the house in general can represent your psyche.

So what does Saddam Hussein represent to you? was he a dictator or a victim? He has a blank look on his face what could this mean? Confusion perhaps. Then a gunshot and his head is blown off - gun could symbolise anger/rage/aggression against a part of yourself you have split off and want dead. A friend in a dream could represent a part of your own psyche you respect and trust, this 'friend' tells you you have a contract to buy the house (take responsibility for this part of yourself)

I think perhaps Saddam represents your own shadow that you would rather deny exists, There is a link in my signature 'a brief intro to the shadow' which may explain more.

This is only a suggested meaning, ultimately it is your dream and your subconscious holds the secrets to it.

If you continue to be troubled by dreams of this nature, if you can afford some sessions with a Jungian Therapist, it could be very helpful to you.

Good luck hf

Re: For someone who understands dreams...
Thanks for the info.. No, I don't think my house is haunted. And yes, he was sitting in an upstairs bedroom.
Saddam to me represents all the ugly things in life. Evilness at it's highest.

It scared and confused me.

Thx Pharista, that was an interesting little read. Makes total sense to me. flower
