I denied it but I really do..... If I don't pluck I look like a 90 year old Indian man, when I do I look like Rudolf. What do I do?!?!?!?! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1688119 Try burning them off with a lighter, works every time. |

(I'm picturing something with an angled mirror and flashlight) They make electric trimmers for that stuff and some barbers will do it for you when you get a haircut. No, not one of those unisex places, an old fashioned barber. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1319430 United States 10/24/2011 07:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You can use the electric trimmers or nose hair scissors. However, the very nose hair removel is with wax. Go to the beauty supply and buy microwavable facial hair remover wax that does NOT need strips. I like Gigi (but don't buy the sugar one it doesn't work very well). Read the directions before putting it in the microwave, like remove lid. So then micro it for 45 seconds, if it is not ready do another 15 seconds until it is liquid. Let it cool a couple minutes. Always Test the wax to make sure it is not too hot before you stick it on your face or up your nose. For the nose, get a Q-tip and remove as much of the cotton as you can. Dip the tip in wax and twirl the q-tip so you get a little ball of wax on the end like a little lollypop. Put the ball of wax in your nose so the bottom of wax ball is at the opening. DO NOT stick it way up your nose. You are only trying to get hair people can see. Let is sit a minute or two and then quickly pull it out. I hope this helps. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 317023 United States 10/24/2011 07:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i can get 3 or 4 sometimes at a time by plucking them Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1184401 especially if some boogers have them stuck together Yeah, same for me. When I feel that tickling crap, I just grasp whatever is available between my index fingertip and thumb, and yank baby! And as you say, with just a bit of booger material clumping several hairs together, I, too, am able to extract several hairs with a single yank. The secret is to pinch hard so your yank is not wasted by having one or more of the hairs slip from your grasp. So, pinch firmly and yank with extreme prejudice, OP, and you too will find this method to be highly productive in terms of nasal hair removal. OR.... As an alternative, you could try the "BIC" Method by following these steps: 1. Use index finger to apply pressure to the outside of the non-involved opening to close of air leakage. 2. Hold BIC or comparable butane lighter to the subject opening, forming a seal between the lighter and nasal opening, and press and hold gas button/lever for approximately 5 seconds. 3. Immediately follow the gas injection with a spin of the ignition wheel of the lighter. This will cause the gas previously injected into your nasal passages to ignite in a single, violent but contained explosion. This ignition will vaporize any and all hairs within the nasal passages. And you will be surprised at the very low level of pain. The flash is so short-lived that no burning of tissue should occur. NOTE: If the BIC Method is used often enough, a thin layer of scar tissue will eventually grow over the inner nasal lining and kill all hair follicles making nose hairs a thing of the past. |
