The solar blast & the associated borealis lights neutralized Jupiter's wavelength momentarily.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2335086 This I can buy. Quoting: Gthree777 did you have the borallis where you lived, that is the only way that would happen. and Jupiter likely would have shown right thru it, just like stars do in the images I have seen. Quoting: Nobody in Particular No I did not. So maybe that's not it? I sit outside to smoke all the time.

It slowly blinked out and popped back on?? WTF?
Quoting: Gthree777 Having the brightly burning tip of a cigarette right in front of your eyes will pretty much night blind you for a few seconds. That is the other reason you're not supposed to smoke while on night watch duty. Quoting: Halcyon Dayz, FCD Could be. But I am a professional. :) This is my last post here FYI. I appreciate All the feedback and karma for this. I'm still not sure what or why I saw what I saw. It is good to know others have seen this too. For the record. I'm a very level headed intelligent person. I do question everything. Including what I see with my own eyes. Hence this thread. It did blink off for a long 1 second count. Nothing in my eyes. I'm sober. And am a very keen observer. I would also question anyone posting this same thing I posted. So thanks again to all.
