Do those big ass satellite dishes still work?

That you used to see people with in their backyards back in the day? I had a friend that had one of those things and could pick up every channel for free and commercial free. Do those sat dishes still work or are those days over with?

All the old big dish satellite receivers were motorized and could move from satellite to satellite. Yep, but it sounded like OP wanted to pick up a reflector from a surplus store or something...
