AMSTERDAM - The small comet Elenin, according to the prophets of doom months of hell and damnation on earth would cause, is no more.

After the comet on Sept. 10 its smallest distance from the sun had reached, it was clear that the object was busy falling apart.

The latest observations indicate that the decline and that has put the comet in a cloud of dust and chunks of ice is reduced.
