Please? I just don't get it.

A member of the forum loses her mom after a prolonged illness. Someone else loses a son. Both posted shortly thereafter, and thankfully, most of the replies are positive, loving...

...and then along come the assholes, writing the most vile, despicable, obscenely hurtful things. WHY? What do you suppose they get from it?

Please, in the future, if we come across these types of posts don't quote the reply, and reply to it. Report it as abusive. When you quote the reply, even if the original has been deleted by a mod, the quotes and responses still show. Grieving people don't need to see the hate on top of the pain they're already feeling.
