Disease was practically unknown in those days so population growth was exponential. By the time of year 200 after Cain and Abel were born, Cain was already building cities, population spread all the way from modern day Iraq to Antarctica. So 7 billion may actually be a conservative number, given the fact that the land mass was much bigger and could support, probably a 100 billion without problem. Most of the populated landmass from that time in now under the oceans particularly in the Pacific, underwater cities are everywhere, off the coast of Japan, off Cuba, off Bermuda, off India, and not mention buried cities in the Sahara, lost in the Amazon jungles etc., the earth truly was inhabited from pole to pole and the evidence of this is everywhere. Noah's days were not leopard skins and clubs as most people think but sophisticated building and agriculture was the norm, maybe even high technology that allowed fast transportation,and other amenities like electricity.

What part is ridiculous? The Noah part? The part that we are going to reach 7 billion? I really don't give one iota who does or doesn't believe the bible is real, I do. All I was stating was 1 a fact and 2 what scholars have somehow compiled into a number for a population.

That there were 7 billion people on th planet at the time of Noah. I am aware the population of today has reached that number.

First and foremost, the flood did actually happen, for all of the majority that does not choose to believe what the bible teaches, that is your choice, but when 'that' time ACTUALLY comes, you will have no one else to blame for your being destroyed for not listening to the Divine Warnings being given, globally, just like in Noah's day, BUT YOURSELF...

Now, the bible, being the only inspired compilation of 66 smaller books, of the True God, yes, He is the only Author, using over 40 men as inspired penmen, made sure that His word survived decades of attempts to be destroyed so that His Message of hope, love and faith in His creation of men would be obediently adhered to, down to the 'T', for it also means man's only hope for survival, just like in Noah's day.

Let's look at the reason 'why' the known world of men was erased from earth's surface, the bible says that men had, basically, advanced from bad to worse, and the condition of the 'world' was just BAD!!!! Let's be honest here, people,
look around you, hasn't this earth that we know of now, is it not filled with violence-loving, sin-craving humans........

Like then, in Noah's day, we are faced with the True God's Righteous decision to cleanse the earth of ALL forms of wickedness, and why should He not, does not this earth and all that is in it belong to Him? Who is going to tell Him not to, He even sent His Son, Jesus, to help us, are we paying attention?

Jesus provided not only a ransom for all of us, but he also showed us how to please our Heavenly Father...Yes, Jesus was perfect, but our Father is not looking for perfection out of imperfect creatures, but He KNOWS what we are capable of doing....so we cannot fool Him...He wants, expects and deserves our complete obedience and exclusive devotion to Him, and why not? Has He not been caring for us still while we are yet earthen vessels fit for destruction.

Now, back to Noah, there was no communication technology available in Noah's day, globally, in order for him to preach repentance to everyone around the globe. Remember, it was long AFTER Noah that people thought that earth was FLAT! And the bible says that Noah was a preacher of righteousness. So, he and his sons not only, meticulously, built the ark, but Noah also preached repentance to an ungodly world, at THAT time.
For us to be an advanced civilization, we sure can THINK the opposite, and we have the most advanced creation with us than all other creations...a human brain, which no other computer can match!! All thanks to our Heavenly Father, who loves us all so very much, which is why He does NOT want us to perish in the impending cleansing that is soon to come.
But that cleansing does not spell doom for the righteous, only to the wicked does it spell destruction, for not only is our Father loving, patient, and faithful, He is also Just, Fair, All-Wise and Powerful.

It will not be fair to sit allow disobedient mankind to have their day without justice being served, and serve justice He will, by means of the very same Savior that died for mankind, Jesus Christ. Jesus died not only for those living can continue to live, RIGHTEOUSLY IN THE EYES OF THE TRUE GOD, not in their own eyes, like Noah, Samuel, Abraham, Abel, Joseph, Samson, Ruth, millions of those that died faithful, prior to now, those that are living(according to the righteous standards of the True God set out in His Word, the Holy Scriptures, that Jesus lived by)and DOING the Will of the True God, just like Jesus and those mentioned above, and millions that will be resurrected onto this earth after the wicked are eliminated off of it, visible and invisible.

So! There is no way that there was over 7 billion people alive during Noah's day, because he would not been able to fulfill ALL of his commission, the same commission that Jesus had and passed on to His disciples then and that are still on the earth, today, fulfilling, whole-hearted that commission, just like you can be doing too. Read about the outcome of the many years of Noah doing the Will of the True God, versus the outcome of the people who chose NOT to, and choose....
