Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the influential second son of the slain Libyan ruler, and Libya's former intelligence chief Abdullah al-Senussi propose to surrender to the International Criminal Court.


“They are proposing a way to hand themselves over to The Hague,” Abdel Majid Mlegta, a senior National Transitional Council military official told Reuters on Wednesday.

Too bad Moammar didn't have enough sense to do the same thing. He might have ended up being executed anyway, but he would have spared himself the barbarism of what happened to him.

He should have done what Mubarak did; resign early in the revolution instead of hanging on to the bitter end.
