Tomorrow is the 25th Anniversary of the World Day of Prayer for Peace.

"Blessed Pope John Paul II's successor and former aide, Pope Benedict XVI, will travel to Assisi on Thursday, October 27, 2011 for an ecumenical discussion to commemmorate the 1986 meeting, but there will be no single interdenominational prayer service, reflecting the current Pope's view that, while such gatherings are good, one cannot give the impression- even externally, interpreted by others- that theological differences have been reduced or are not consequential."
