My husband uses godaddy for all his domain purchases for himself and others. He just bought one for me the other day and he had a minor issue with getting it set up. Come to find out GoDaddy didn't actually own the name and we purchased it from another through GoDaddy.

However, they took care of the minor issue in half the time they said it would take to clear up the problem. Sorry, I'm not an IT person....just know that they came through better than they originally stated.

Why would you purchase a domain that needed to be negotiated in the first place? There are plenty out there. The name I was wanting to use was something that was fairly common. I ended up with a .com name that I was really happy with for about $15.00. Many people buy up good domain names because they feel it will be wanted by another some day. Most likely you are purchasing something like that...I'd try to find something better.

Also, when you check out a name on GoDaddy, it should give you other suggestions if the name you are searching for is not available.
