100X Less volume in the DOW today!! WHERE IS EVERYONE!!

Goes to show how much is computer triggered and how much is really the regular guy?

Good afternoon, Mrs. Smith.

I was wondering when someone who knows something about this would show up.

How much lighter than normal is this? I don't follow volume at all, but I saw a site, earlier, that looked like a normal day's volume is between a billion and about 6 billion shares, on the DOW. As of now, it's at about 74 million with the day half over.

Volume isn't that low lol.

But it is slow.

Longs short squeezed their way out of the market.

Shorts got squeezed out of the market.

So far, over half way through the trading day, they've traded about 80 million shares, which would be about 6.4% of a normal day's volume.

Sometimes.

The last hour is often when news is leaked before being publically released. It can also be a busy last hour if it is the last trading day of the month, or more so last of the quarter.

As for today, we can only wait to see.

Odigo says workers were warned of attack

Odigo, the instant messaging service, says that two of its workers received messages two hours before the Twin Towers attack on September 11 predicting the attack would happen, and the company has been cooperating with Israeli and American law enforcement, including the FBI, in trying to find the original sender of the message predicting the attack.

Micha Macover, CEO of the company, said the two workers received the messages and immediately after the terror attack informed the company's management, which immediately contacted the Israeli security services, which brought in the FBI.

Market Volumes for the DOW weren't anything out of the ordinary yesterday, so I wouldn't put too much speculation into it.

This big move upwards over the last month is concerning though.

Abnormally strong market moves are almost always followed by reversals, as soon as a bit of negativity hits the market and we see some selling, then we'll most likely see a big sell off, but in saying that this rally could continue as the shorts are getting squeezed out.

Personally I think that we're going to continue to move upwards to the April and July highs, then bounce up and down within a 1000 point range, then a big move down.

I'm seeing a rare pattern emerge on the DOW weekly, very keen to see if it plays out.

Nope...not lazy. I have/had an account but its pretty much useless to me because of people like yourself. Every time I posted when I was logged in people like you would flood the moderators with whining/crybaby complaints that pretty much amounted to nothing but it was much easier to ban me to get you people off their backs.
