If NATO attack Sirya then NATO attack Russia. So our forces defend independent Syria. If you would be in war with Sirya you would be in war with Russia. Iran is bording country with Russia. And if NATO attack Iran and hits russian territiry Russia hits NATO countryes. It means WWIII. It is reasons so NATO not attack DPRK for example.

NATO is the military of the British Empire. The British Empire (not Britain per say, but that Empire) And it no longer represents the Nations of Europe in the least. Because there are no Nations of Europe, there is only the Pan-European Union.
