Anonymous Coward User ID: 4312129 United Kingdom 10/30/2011 03:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thank you all, Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1275523 I told my son, we should remember her through our deeds. He looked puzzled and I explained that we should honor her life by simply being a better person. Sorry to hear of your loss . I lost my old boy almost exactly a year ago . He passed away with his head in my lap as we both sat on the floor . It was a long illness . I cried like a child |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1275523 Her gums were white as a sheet of paper. (sign of internal bleeding) The vet met me at his office, and we put her down with her in my arms. (he changed his mind about not letting me be in the room). She weights 95 lbs and I swear I could feel her become lighter as she passed. Say what you want, I know people under stress interpret things poorly, but I felt her body lighten as she passed. It was as if her weight passed through me? I can't explain it. We are all so sad from this. Not even sure why I am posting this? It's heartbreaking when pets pass away, your particular experience was harrowing. Captain Spaulding User ID: 4134642 United States 10/30/2011 03:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I went through the loss of two in the last couple of years. One was with me 24/7 for 12 years. I wish you and your son the best. I rescued a 14 month old white boxer 7 months ago. He can't replace the others, but he's got the coolest personality and my life would have a big hole in it without him. Peace. And remember the rainbow Bridge... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 4291252 Norway 10/30/2011 03:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry for your loss OP, I cried more when each of my dogs died than when family members went. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4313441 I'm so sorry too...and I agree with the above reply. One of my Guinea pigs died in my arms last fall...it truly broke my heart - and losing a pet has always been harder for me than losing a human... If it's any comfort: No one ever dies, we just move on - hopefully for something better. Be happy for the time and love you shared, and remember: "Until one has truly loved and animal, part of ones soul remains unawakened". |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 82347 United States 10/30/2011 03:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry to hear that. I've always wondered how I'll continue if my 4 year old male border collie dies. He is amazing. If you plan someday to get another dog, I would highly encourage you to get a male border collie puppy. Incredibly smart and cuddles like a baby bear. |

You and your dog are lucky to have had each other. I am sincerely sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Carol B. Prayer.....the world's first wireless connection. |
