I personally don't see anything wrong with breast feeding in church. It's about as natural as natural gets.

That is so wonderful. Instead of having a crying baby that has to be taken out, you have a happy baby still exposed to the blessing of being surrounded by GOD and a mother that is still present also. Quit looking for things to bitch about, and notice the goodness around you.

Yeah, that might have bugged me a little as well. I'm pretty open minded and discreet breast feeding wouldn't have even made me bat an eye.

But "hanging out" might be just a touch inappropriate, especially at church...

OP, if your mother had breast fed you more I think you wouldn't be so psychologically damaged.

I think it's more of the new age going back to old ways. I think it's great I mean really where if anywhere should you feel able to breast feed without ridicule! Church! I however always covered not for me but for other people that can't handle it.

What is it about people in church judging and verbally bashing other people in church? There are a lot of people in this world who don't go to church because of things like this.

I know how I was fed, and I know how I fed my own children...the same damn way. However, I did not throw my tit out at every event and throw my suckling on without being a tad bit discreet.

I'm a widow...So no, I didn't care who looked. I had no desire to see a big fat tit laid out next to me with suckling sounds drowning out the sermon.

Again, it comes down to class and tact....something that's lacking anymore.

I hate no one. I sat there and found it disrespectful. I don't hate her for what she did. Actually, I was glad to see her there as she is a regular member. I just felt she disrespected me, (as her tit was laying against my arm) and her suckling made so much noise, most the sermon was missed by my ears.
Lack of respect. New generation? I have children in this generation. I hope I taught them better class.
