I was sitting in church this morning.....
And the woman sitting next to me started breast feeding in the pew.

TOTALLY inappropriate IMO. I'm a mother, I would've never done that in church.

The lady on the other side of me looked at me and said "That's the new generation".

For real? It is?
.....And Grace will lead me home.

I personally don't see anything wrong with breast feeding in church. It's about as natural as natural gets.

That is so wonderful. Instead of having a crying baby that has to be taken out, you have a happy baby still exposed to the blessing of being surrounded by GOD and a mother that is still present also. Quit looking for things to bitch about, and notice the goodness around you.

Yeah, that might have bugged me a little as well. I'm pretty open minded and discreet breast feeding wouldn't have even made me bat an eye.

But "hanging out" might be just a touch inappropriate, especially at church...

I think it's more of the new age going back to old ways. I think it's great I mean really where if anywhere should you feel able to breast feed without ridicule! Church! I however always covered not for me but for other people that can't handle it.

What is it about people in church judging and verbally bashing other people in church? There are a lot of people in this world who don't go to church because of things like this.

Big deal, she fed a baby. Meanwhile you were practicing judgment.

I know how I was fed, and I know how I fed my own children...the same damn way. However, I did not throw my tit out at every event and throw my suckling on without being a tad bit discreet.
It's not about judgement, it's called having an ounce of respect for the church and the members.
I'm a mother, I know childrens needs, however, class seems to be lost.
It's about having tact and class.

Obviously, not many have it anymore.

if it bothered you that much, next time tell her straight up: young lady, the ladies of this church and I feel that you breast feeding your baby like that in public is not appropriate for the house of God. Please go the sitting room where it's more quite and no one will disturb you." If she gets mad, then tell her, it offended you and you are a religious prude and don't go showing off your wares in church to every Tom,Dick and Harry there! And you are afraid it will divert your husband's attention away from you because he will not be listening to the sermon. He will be watching you!" There, truth feels good, doesn't it?

I'm a widow...So no, I didn't care who looked. I had no desire to see a big fat tit laid out next to me with suckling sounds drowning out the sermon.

Again, it comes down to class and tact....something that's lacking anymore.

Judge not, lest ye be judged. Words of Jesus himself. Now how are you going to explain yourself to Him on that day when it is brought up in front of the MOST HIGHS? (That's a court in case you're wondering.)Like the supreme Court. Only higher.
Believe me, your guardian angel has a lot of dirt on you,too sister. That's why they are invisible agents. But this is a lesson to you about prejudice.

Yeah, they'll bring it up and all of this conversation, too. Look, nobody's perfect, so just learn to love yourself and stop hating anyone who does not think or act like you.

I hate no one. I sat there and found it disrespectful. I don't hate her for what she did. Actually, I was glad to see her there as she is a regular member. I just felt she disrespected me, (as her tit was laying against my arm) and her suckling made so much noise, most the sermon was missed by my ears.
Lack of respect. New generation? I have children in this generation. I hope I taught them better class.
