In some cases the government uses their elaborate techno programs to program the folks further to keep people herded into a dead end program.

I have seen a few on this board programmed by government technology to believe they are the chosen ones. Trying to convince the world that they are chosen leaders. This is a clever trick to convince people that theya are special and "thee" ones in power.

There is government technology to create mind stuff so they see and experience specific things to uphold the program. If you accept or believe them you too can get caught up in the same program they teach and "see" and can also see and believe the same things that the specific leader you accept is teaching.
These leader types are always chosen because of their big, no, their huge ego, and a marked intellegence combined with a lack of formal education plus an ability to obey instructions and have an amount of charisma of personality necessary to convince people they are correct. The ideal programmable leader candidate also wants to achieve glory, either for themselves or the one they worship, or the idea they worship. They have always been set up and groomed early on by severe trauma which weakened them and made them suseptible to such programs. They also have a deep desire to control their environment and feel helpless, making them good candidates to be leaders.

Why are certain people hit with these programs to be religious leaders in their own minds ?

The answer is to attempt to lead away people into false distractions so the government will be able to hoodwink them while they are preoccupied. Also because they are good candidates to such a program of distraction and error.
