Although the infant weighs four kilograms (8.8 pounds), the baby's health condition is worrying doctors and family members as only one body is holding the three heads. [link to wireupdate.com] However, the baby's father is an unskilled worker at a local shop in Binjai and the family lacks the proper funds to travel to Medan, as they are struggling to pay the hospital bills. The family is hoping a benefactor will step up and help them with the rare medical case. The cause of the abnormality is possibly caused by neural tube defect, Dimayana explained, which is a relatively common birth defect which can result in different types of abnormalities such as spina bifida and anencephaly, or absence of the brain.
