nothing will ever replace film....it still has 10x the resolution of digital and as hard as they try, they can´t match it....I used to shoot a lot...but now I appreciate more than ever....fav films are Reala 100, Velvia(pushed to 60, very warm...be careful where you use), Provia 100F( has the grain of a 50, very fine,and on the opposite end, Provia 800 pushed to 1600 (did you like Eyes Wide Shut?)...as far as B&W Ilford Pan F 50 & Delta 100...I shot for tones and through all the films I experimented with( all of them, I used to manage a camera store : ), these were the best, so take this as a warp drive to the next level....Experimentation will lead you to which to use in what situation.....and I must note Kodachrome (R.I.P), the best film ever made....
