Popular guesses include Rome and New York City. The tough thing is that each place seems to fit so perfectly in one aspect and then fall short in another.

Rome litterally has 7 hills. The office of the Pope would perfectly fit into the role of leader of the appostate church and once did sort of rule over the kings of the earth. The Pope is currently calling for a centralized one world bank and even a centralized one world law. Given the obviousness of this coming from one who claims to be the world leader of all Christendom, that is down right spooky.

New York hosts the United Nations which currently rules over the kings of the earth, or at least attemps to do so for now. NY city is a massige world port of trade. If it were destroyed, the prophecy of merchants around the world crying about it would certainly fit. If the top port in America stops buying and selling things, it would be a world wide disaster.
