He's probably bi if not gay. I'm 100% straight, went to his show a couple of years ago. A room full of young homosexuals from Mexico. He's still an awesome performer.

Wikipedia gives some good information about his sexuality.

He is either asexual / celibate or bi-sexual.

But, who cares, really? It's about the music.

I like the Morrissey and Depeche Mode music. Just didn't realize until now that they may have been gay.

Saw a live vid of him once..def a tad light in the loafers but he may still like to tinker around w/ a Gina here n there.

He's mostly celibate IIRC, but I think he has had something with the BBC DJ Janice Long (listen to her interview him, they are very close friends at the very least).

That's funny, I recently watched an Adam Ant video, I think it was Stand and Deliver(?) Hadn't seen it since I was a kid in the 80's.

I was just like... Wow! I didn't recall him looking and acting so incredibly gay back then, LOL.

Never really thought of the Moz being gay, just a bit effeminate.

Couldn't give a toss if he is or isn't, nothing will detract from his music, particularly in the Smiths days. Johnny Marr was the yin of Moz's yang - the Smiths literally had not one bad or so-so song.

But when Moz moved on after the breakup, his music never really compared to smiths music. Though he did put out quite alot of good tunes, but also alot of average stuff. That wouldn't have happened if Marr was still behind (not in a gay way) him.

The Depeche Mode guys have all been married or are married (to women). Doesn't mean one or more of them aren't bi, a lot of rock stars who are or have been married are. So common.

It would be strange to me to be surprised about rockers being gay or bi and the effect that has on music. I mean: David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Elton John, Mick Jagger, probably John Lennon (even people very close to him say he probably had a thing for Stuart Sutcliffe and possibly Brian Epstein, too)...

That's just off the top of my head and I'm basically naming the some of biggest names in rock from the '60's and '70's right there.

Yeah, from what I hear he banged a LOT of chicks/groupies. IDK if he was Bi or what, that's why I said he "looked and acted" homo. LOL, it was just a shock to see the high level of gayness... I actually liked that song when it came out.

Even the straight people looked and acted gay in the early 80s.

So what if he is gay? Who gives a shit about anyone's sexuality, unless you ain't gettin any yourself ?! Get a fuckin life for Christs sake and get on with it!

If I had to categorize him I'd say he could be some sort of bisexual demisexual or a bisexual asexual. But I preferably shouldn't label, as Morrissey himself said "I have no sexuality" (this is a long time after he went through his 'celibate stage' and then disowned that label, especially due to the fact that being celibate relates to religion). Overall, he is one of the most inspirational musical heroes of our time ;)

I am a straight guy who loves Morrissey and his music. He says he is a celibate asexual...I take his word for it, but, really, I don't care. He has the best male voice I have ever heard. Still keeping Smiths/Morrissey in heavy rotation.

But, yes, he's a dapper dresser so you'd assume he is gay. Seriously, though, it's not relevant.
