If I may make an ever so humble suggestion (and I feel terrible saying this when I would enjoy a voice half as good as this dude) he's pushing it a little too much and it shows. If he could stand back in a little more relaxed mode and still kick out intensity I think he'd be closer to Freddy's style. Freddy's voice was relaxed and spilled out effortlessly and easy - even when he was intense. How you accomplish that is beyond me. example Adelle is a good example of letting her style relax and flow. Even when it's intense it's still got a relaxed quality like it's effortless and not being forced. That's the kind of effortless quality that makes people pay attention. |
