Union Chief Leo Gerard: 'Resistance Movement' Needed to Seize Bridges, Banks in Case OWS Fails

United Steelworkers international president Leo Gerard has a message to the flea party whiny-whiners still camping out instead of sleeping in their parents' basements -- playtime is over.

Just in case the Occupy movement fails -- in other words, when it fails -- Gerard is urging union members to fill that gaping void with "more militancy." (audio clips after page break)

Here's a clip of Gerard making a pitch for this on Ed Schultz's radio show Monday and actually making Schultz sound reasonable by comparison (audio) --

Well, indeed that is a great question.

The compilation of supporters is actually from a wide variety of sources and contributors. It IS strange that piece (and rightfully, largely so) wouldn't be included.

That's a great deal of what i wanted to discuss - based on this list, what's seen or not seen listed, are there more and who is seen to be pulling the heaviest strings behind the curtain?

As for this post, the concept that has evolved (everything that is OWS), it's important to see and realize what is happening and where it can lead.

While I am against the OWS crowd, its supporters, cattle drivers, etc (and this much is clear), my concern is how this is rippling and flailing around WORLDWIDE. Our homeland IS being marched upon, but to not understand the implications is foolish. Even I'm trying to understand more and clearly grasp this movement (as in, grasp the utter idiocy in these people's actions).

He just wanted you to know that he saw it first, and to get a few more sympathy hits for his one of MANY dud threads.

So what are YOU going to do about it?

The implications I'm suggesting I think everyone knows, or should - when the idiocracy speads to whole new levels, and the OWS crowds grow increasingly bitter and foaming at the mouth (because they've been steered to do so), a different kind of America will unfold. The landscape of this country will change drastically - not just physically, but in the social arena.

We haven't exactly seen America "go crazy", blood being spilled with abundance in the streets, tanks and artillary being used against citizens, nor have we seen the landscape burning and billowing with smoke.

So what shall I do? I will not physically fight the system in this way that is called OWS. Although, and unfortunately, there may be some well-intentioned (fed up) Americans in these OWS camps, just VERY ill-informed with no strategic direction. Even myself, strategic direction becomes hazy and unclear in these sociological scenarios. But, stand fast and continually assess - preparation for a COMPLETE breakdown of society and the comfortable life as we know it. PREPARE. LOOK. SEE. ACT.

I just don't see any other way, only to be prepared now and stand fast when the earth shakes and the fires burn.

If you need an America job, move to India.

Most of your rant, though, is indicating I don't realize what's ultimately in store for myself and family. You're so incredibly correct, nobody ultimately gives a hoot about us - including and overall, the government.

Please do realize though, our intentions are more or less the same. However, I want people to realize the implications and total affect/effect on society WHEN this situation, and economically, blows through the more "interesting" phases...

I don't wish violence. However, as you stated, reform and revolution takes form in a way that's most effective. BUT, these people don't have the intention or drive that is pure or positive. I understand when people get pissed - I'M PISSED! These people on the OWS camps are the ones spewing the "drivel".

In the end, you and I do have the same thirst - an unabated freedom and ability to not be intruded opon or impeded. My cry is to simply be prepared for what you know, and get ready for what you not not - as in coming events.
