Also you can get drunk without being a drunkard...Everything with God is about the heart and motive, for when he judges, it is from all perspectives.

OP what do you think?

I am against no one, but I want to share from my heart, lest some misunderstand me, I am not a theologian, I am just a regular guy, who is unlearned, and who is asking questions about my own Christianity, and the Christianity of others.

Jesus was called a drunkard, and a sinner. Jesus makes an interesting comment about "not coming out of there until you pay the last pence, which seems to indicate a temporary punishment.

Paul seems to indicate he had a personal sin in his life, unless you believe it was poor eyesight, but how would that keep you humble? I mean I believe Paul had a moral failure. It was NOT bad eye site, that humbled him...How could it, but if he failed morally somehow, this would explain Romans 6-8.

Imagine...
God says to you, "I need you humble", "I'm going to give you bad eye sight". Or "I'm going to brake your arm." YOU Protest: "God, How will a broken arm keep me humble?" BUT IF YOU FAIL, YOU SIN...And your heart cries to God for relief, and God says "My grace is sufficient for you"...Do you not then find yourself going through Romans 6-8 in your own personal life?

Jesus was no drunk because he was sinless. Jesus said he came to save the world and that he did. When the Bible mentions his turning wine into water it was unfermented because that was the opposite of what Christ taught as you will see in scripture.

1 Corinthians 6:10
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.

For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags.

And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Ephesians 5:18 ESV / 7 helpful votes

Over and over we are told if Jesus came to save the world then we must be aware that alcohol is against God. Remember he made gallons of wine and if we know the Jesus of the Bible who quoted scripture then we know it was non-alcoholic.
